Raymarine unveils Axiom 2 chartplotter and next-generation LightHouse Charts

Hudson, NH: Raymarine – global leader in high-performance marine electronics for the recreational boating, marine first-responder and law-enforcement markets – announced today Axiom 2, the next evolution of its award‑winning Axiom chartplotter series. Designed for sailors, anglers, cruisers, and motor‑yacht owners, Axiom 2 combines faster performance with Raymarine’s signature durability and ease of use.
Featuring a powerful 6‑core processor, next‑generation LightHouse Charts, exclusive HydroTough™ nano-coated displays and expanded app and engine integration, Axiom 2 delivers a more intuitive and more responsive navigation experience for boaters of all levels.
“Axiom 2 represents a major leap forward for onboard navigation and chartplotter capabilities,” said Michelle Hildyard, Vice President of Operations at Raymarine. “We engineered Axiom 2 to be faster, brighter and overall, more capable in every meaningful way. From processing power and chart performance to wet-weather touch response, boaters will immediately feel the difference from the moment they power it on.”
Inside its rugged IPX6-rated waterproof construction, Axiom 2’s enhanced processor will bring boaters 10-percent quicker start-up time and chart rendering 30-percent faster than its predecessor, paired with high-speed one-gigabit networking. Chartplotter, sonar, radar, autopilot and video are all integrated seamlessly with Axiom 2’s LightHouse operating system, while the upgraded hardware platform gives the Axiom 2 expanded memory, offering users access to more than 30 available apps including apps for streaming entertainment, weather, lighting, vessel monitoring and more.
Axiom 2 comes bundled with LightHouse Charts GEN 2, delivering chart redraws with smooth and responsive panning and zooming, three-times faster than previous generations. Expanded coverage will give boaters charts of new bodies of waters, lakes, rivers and harbor enhancements. LightHouse Charts GEN 2 also features a growing catalog of charts, covering regions including North America, Europe, the Mediterranean, South America, South Africa and Asia.
Axiom 2 will be available in two models: one non-sonar version and one featuring a built-in 600W sonar plus Raymarine’s award-winning RealVision (RV) sonar and imaging. Axiom 2 RV features high-frequency CHIRP sonar so anglers can pinpoint fish and assess bottom hardness, while DownVision and SideVision paired with RealVision 3D will offer a full-picture view to keep users on the bite non-stop.
Axiom 2 is available in 7-, 9- and 12-inch display sizes and includes integration with the industry’s top engine brands. Axiom 2 will also come with an industry-leading, three-year warranty.
The Axiom 2 family of chartplotters will be on display for the first time at the Palm Beach International Boat Show, March 25-29, 2026 in the Raymarine Booth 549. For more information on the Axiom 2, or Raymarine and its full line of marine products, visit www.raymarine.com.

I have a soft spot for Raymarine. I am sad to see they didn’t take the chance to bring their sonar tech inline with other brands and offer 1kw native support built in. Or even their newer rvm sonar ..I don’t know why they did this ?
Faster processor is always welcome. But this feels like a small evolution rather than new generation
